Venice - "Shame" by McQueen enjoyed many friends
in the jury, it was thought that the golden lion, but
his hero Fassbender deservedly won the Volpi Cup for men.
A hard film on one of the frontiers of the financial
crisis of values that the Western world is going
through. The border is that of sex: homosexuality to
incest suggested, with lots of nudity, erotic without
escalation. Sex as shame, shelter, hiding, earned the
Volpi Cup for an actor who has advocated a particularly

Biennale Cinema 2011 : "Terraferma" di Crialese vince il
Premio Speciale della Giuria
Roma - L'Italia porta a casa un premio, quello della
Giuria con "Terraferma" di Emanuele Crialese. Un film
sull'immigrazione, su una isola che può essere
Lampedusa, dove destini si incontrano, si parlano, si
scambiano culture. Protagonisti i pescatori, in effetti
erano stati i primi a denunciare, anche se sottovoce, il
sangue e i legni che ritrovavano nel Mar di Sicilia. Qui
é una famiglia di pescatori, che si trova a dover
rispondere alle leggi del mare e nel contempo a dover
rispondere del reato di immigrazione clandestina.
Crialese lo ha fatto a modo suo, un tocco di realismo,
un lirismo ironico, un tocco iper-reale. Secondo
riconoscimento per il regista al Lido e si ritiene più
che soddisfatto per un premio, in un anno di film di
alta qualità.

un filo rosso che unisce il cinema italiano
d'autore, un cinema che ha emozionato
e denunciato, con la satira, la ricerca
storica, la commedia quando é servito. Il
regista, l'autore de "I pugni in tasca" e
"Nel nome del padre", ma anche de "L'ora di
religione" ha detto, “sono soddisfatto del
premio alla carriera, sarei un pazzo a non
esserlo. Quello che può significare è il
riconoscimento ad una carriera in cui ho
cercato di essere fedele alle mie idee e
alle mie immagini. Io non solo lo stesso che
ha fatto "Nel nome del padre", credo nei
cambiamenti, credo che la gente possa
cambiare”.
